Abstract
My view of abstract photography is that, like abstract paintings, the emphasis is on line, colour, composition and form, rather than subject. In these days of Photoshop™ and digital manipulation of images, photographs such as these could well have been manufactured. I like to take images that emulate painting styles; sometimes I think they work better as photographs.
I am keen on the idea of all the compositions being 'found'. They are all 'out there'; it just needs somebody to see them. Most of the images are as seen in the viewfinder. I don't think of this as a necessity, but it is satisfactory nevertheless. Giving hints (small or large) to what the subject actually is, is just part of the fun.
